E Source hires new president of solution services

BOULDER — Utility data company E Source Cos. LLC has hired Phillip Taylor as its president of solution services, the company said Tuesday in a news release. 

The position is newly created. In it, Taylor will help integrate, manage and optimize E Source’s growing solution services division. 

Taylor’s hiring comes in the middle of a rapid period of growth for E Source, as it has acquired eight other companies in the past two years. 

Taylor has more than 20 years of experience in the utility industry, most recently as executive vice president for Utiligent. He was also previously senior leader of the power, utilities and renewables division for Deloitte from 2007 to 2020.

“Phillip Taylor is a proven leader and winner, and his experience is just right to help our growing roster of utility clients meet the tremendous opportunities ahead,” said Ted Schultz, CEO of E Source, in a prepared statement. “Well known and respected in the utility space and well versed in the key operational data systems of electric, natural gas, and water utilities, Phillip is adept at managing the life cycle of system selection, implementation, integration, change management, and continuous improvement that we see as crucial to unlocking the exponential value of data for today’s utilities.”
