Coalfire acquires Maryland-based Neuralys
WESTMINSTER — Coalfire Systems Inc., a Westminster cybersecurity firm, has acquired Maryland-based penetration testing management platform Neuralys Corp. for an undisclosed sum.
The Neuralys team will be folded into Coalfire’s Adversary Operations practice, according to a Coalfire news release.
“With this acquisition, Coalfire combines the industry’s most experienced adversarial operations team and breakthrough technology to manage cyber risk in today’s dynamic threat environment,” Coalfire chief operating officer Mark Carney said in the release. “It is time to move away from point-in-time, check-the-box testing and evolve to continuous asset discovery, testing and enable remediation actions through real-time dashboarding.”
This is not the first time that Coalfire has acquired a Mid-Atlantic cybersecurity company. In 2016, Coalfire bought Virginia-based Veris Group.
