Adams County Economic Development, Metro North Chamber join forces
WESTMINSTER — Adams County Economic Development and the Metro North Chamber of Commerce, which supports businesses in portions of Adams, Broomfield, Weld and Jefferson counties, have merged to form the Adams County Regional Economic Partnership.
The ACREP will be helmed by Bo Martinez, who served as the director of economic development for Broomfield for eight years before leaving Colorado in early 2019 for an economic-development position in Florida.
“For a couple of years, prior to my coming back, there had been some conversations throughout the community to talk about leveraging and enhancing opportunities between businesses and economic-development partners,” Martinez told BizWest.

The merger was announced Monday after votes by the group’s boards and Metro North member businesses.
The combined organization, Martinez said, is built on “five pillars of success”: marketing, branding, and placemaking; business expansion and location; membership and investment; strengthening and diversifying the economy; leadership development; and business advocacy.
“We’re really thinking about the best ways to create the next urban frontier,” Martinez said. “When you look at all of the growth and development that’s going to happen in the metro Denver region, all arrows point north. We feel like we’ve got a unique opportunity to really come together as one.”
The newly formed ACREP will be housed in the Pecos Avenue Adams County offices in Westminster.
Former Metro North board chairman Jared Carlon; Nicole Milo, a government affairs adviser with Centura Health; and Front Range Community College president Andy Dorsey will join ACREP’s executive committee, which is chaired by Adolfson & Peterson Construction project executive Tom Stone.
“Regional cooperation is going to be very important as we develop a 21st Century global community in the Metro North region,” Martinez said. “… Our time is now and that’s why we’ve come together to create this new partnership.”
