McConnell begins tenure at Colorado State
FORT COLLINS — Joyce McConnell begins her tenure as Colorado State University president today after the retirement of former president Tony Frank.
McConnell takes the helm of CSU after 24 years at West Virginia University, where she spent 21 years as a law professor, six years as dean of the law school and just over five years as its provost.
Frank announced his resignation as head of CSU in September 2018 to become the full-time chancellor of the CSU System, overseeing CSU’s two physical campuses in Fort Collins and Pueblo, and the online university CSU Global. He first joined CSU as a professor in 1993 and was named president in 2008.
