Advanced Energy recognized by Fort Collins for conservation efforts

FORT COLLINS — Advanced Energy Industries Inc. (Nasdaq: AEIS), a power and control technologies firm based in Fort Collins, was recently recognized by Fort Collins’ ClimateWise program for the company’s sustainability and conservation efforts.

ClimateWise is a voluntary program sponsored by the city to encourage a reduction in water and energy use.

For the second consecutive year, Advanced Energy was awarded a platinum-level designation, the highest recognition a company can receive under the program, according to a company news release.

“As one of 190 participating businesses and organizations, we are proud of our collaborative efforts to support the city of Fort Collins’ Climate Action Plan and to be a good corporate citizen of our hometown,” JD Johnson, environmental compliance manager at Advanced Energy, said in a prepared statement. “Our programs not only reduced our environmental impact as a company, but also created sustainable ideas to help our customers and improve our community.”
