Dental Aid CEO to retire after 17 years

LAFAYETTE — The president and CEO of Dental Aid Inc., a provider of dental care for low-income and uninsured residents of Boulder and Broomfield Counties, is retiring after 17 years of service to the organization.

Dennis J. Lewis has practiced all facets of general dentistry in his nearly 40-year career, from owning a private practice to serving as a staff dentist to being a university professor. He is well-known for his efforts in increasing access to dental care and for integrating medical and dental care.

“It’s been a privilege to lead Dental Aid over the years,” Lewis said in a prepared statement. “I am grateful for the vast number of patients the organization has been able to care for over the years. I am also proud of the innovative programs committed employees have implemented to improve access to dental care for the underserved in our community.”
