Attendees will learn about planned Army Corps of Engineers ecosystem restoration work that will begin shortly and continue through the fall. During construction, the Poudre River Trail will remain open for public use but the natural areas alongside the trail will close, according to information provided by the city.
Upon completion, these areas will provide improved wildlife habitat and river health, according to natural lands coordinator Karen Scopel. The project will also provide improved access to the natural areas along the corridor, including nature trails and boardwalks through wetland areas.
