Western Union will move headquarters from Douglas County to Denver

DENVER — Western Union will move its headquarters from Douglas County to Denver in mid-2018.

The global payment-services company announced Thursday that it will move to the One Belleview Station office building at Bellevue Avenue and Quebec Street, occupying 246,000 square feet. The company also is seeking additional space nearby.

Western Union said it also will donate $1 million to local nonprofits and other non-governmental organizations, and will shift many of its most prominent meetings and gatherings from New York to Denver. The company estimates its long-term economic investment to the region to exceed $300 million over the next decade.
