Eye Center of Northern Colorado set to open 2nd Fort Collins location

FORT COLLINS — The Eye Center of Northern Colorado PC on Friday said it will open its second location in Fort Collins on Monday.

The new center is at the corner of Precision and Ziegler drives within the Harmony Technology Park in southeast Fort Collins.

The Eye Center of Northern Colorado has a clinic at 1725 E. Prospect Road in Fort Collins, and two clinics in Loveland at 2551 13th St. and 6125 Sky Pond Drive at Centerra.

Routine eye care will remain at its current location on Prospect Road, and laser vision correction will still be performed at Centerra.

Carol Wittmer, practice administrator for the Eye Center of Northern Colorado, said the new center will allow the company to provide improved access for specialty eye care, including retina, glaucoma, pediatrics, cornea, oculo-facial plastics and cataract care.

The Precision Center, built by Brinkman Partners and designed by Marasco and Associates, is a 28,000-square-foot building that houses a 10,000 square-foot eye-exclusive surgery center, accredited by the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care, as well as 18,000 square feet of clinical space. Nationally acclaimed local artist Vic Schendel’s artwork is highlighted throughout the building.

Last year, the Eye Center of Northern Colorado purchased the 4.3-acre site for $1.4 million.

A public open house will be held on the evening of June 2, allowing patients and the community an opportunity for tours, refreshments and prizes.
