Colorado Rockies sign 30-year lease for Coors Field

DENVER — The Colorado Rockies won’t be leaving Coors Field any time soon.

The Denver Business Journal reports that the team has signed a 30-year, $200 million lease deal with the Metropolitan Baseball Stadium District, a regional authority that includes seven counties.

The deal will enable the Rockies to redevelop an adjacent parking lot into a complementary business enterprise. Revenue from the project will help pay for maintenance and upgrades at Coors Field.
