Longmont United Hospital to close adult-care program
LONGMONT — Longmont United Hospital is closing its Homestead Adult Day Services program.
The Longmont Times-Call reports that the nonprofit program — which assists 30 senior cities in maintaining self care — will close April 28. The newspaper cited an LUH spokesman as saying that staff felt that other resources existed that could provide seniors with better care that is more specialized.
The Homestead program provides a break for a day for caregivers and seniors with challenges such as dementia.
