Colorado Springs chamber, EDC gets new name
COLORADO SPRINGS — A new but familiar name is in place for what was the Colorado Springs Regional Business Alliance. The Gazette reports that the organization yesterday renamed itself the Colorado Springs Chamber of Commerce and EDC.
The former name had been in place for only four years. The organization formed in early 2012, resulting from a merger of the Greater Colorado Springs Chamber of Commerce and the Colorado Springs Regional Economic Development Corp. Officials told The Gazette that the Colorado Springs Regional Business Alliance name — adopted later in 2012 — was confusing and didn’t explain the group’s mission.
The organization also launched a new website, www.coloradospringschamberedc.com.
