Demolition of former Walmart in Longmont to begin today

By the end of this year, the city of Longmont will have one less Walmart building, though things like Black Friday rushes are merely a distant memory for the store being torn down.

The Times-Call reports that demolition will begin today on the 90,000-square-foot former Walmart building near the southeast corner of Hover Street and Nelson Road, with the owner planning to sell the land to a developer.
