Increasing rent, construction cause Serendipity to close in Longmont

A pending rent increase for Serendipity’s downtown Longmont space and ongoing construction in the area are causing the consignment shop to go out of business.

The Times-Call reports that the shop’s owner, Vicky Boone, plans to close at the end of the month. Serendipity joins multiple other businesses that have blamed their closures in on construction at the south end of downtown that have caused sidewalk closures and parking issues in spots.
