Orthopaedic & Spine Center of the Rockies opening Greeley office

GREELEY — The Orthopaedic & Spine Center of the Rockies is opening an office in Greeley, adding to its presence in Northern Colorado, where it operates in Fort Collins and Loveland.

The center will be on the third floor of the Greeley Medical Clinic building at 1900 16th St. OCR is leasing space from University of Colorado Health, whose medical clinic occupies the first, second and fourth floors of the building.

The new center is scheduled to open Monday, May 16, after construction work and installation of medical equipment. Brinkman Construction is the builder for the project, and Infusion Architects is handling the design.

“We’re very pleased to become part of the community and bring our orthopaedic services closer to our patients in Greeley and northeastern Colorado,” said Dr. Robert Benz, president of OCR’s board of directors.

OCR’s physicians have specialized fellowship training, board certification, and years of experience in each area of orthopaedics, spine, sports medicine, sports concussion and podiatry care.

The overall practice has 29 doctors — 20 orthopaedic surgeons, two podiatrists, five primary-care sports medicine specialists, a physiatrist, and a neuropsychologist whose specialty is sports concussions.

The doctors work with a staff of 300 employees, including 14 physician assistants and nurse practitioners, 16 athletic trainers, and physical and occupational therapists.
