As some major fast-casual restaurant chains like Denver-based Chipotle and Broomfield-based Noodles and Co., face headwinds for various reasons, a startup fast-casual concept in Longmont has closed its doors for good.
The Times-Call reports that Basil Flats — started by former Noodles execs Joe Serafin and Aaron Kennedy in 2010 — has shut down its sole restaurant at 1067 S. Hover Road in Longmont less than a year after closing its Boulder location.
