2016 NoCo Women of Distinction honorees announced

LOVELAND — A dozen Northern Colorado women and an outstanding mentor have been named as recipients of BizWest Media LLC’s 2016 Women of Distinction awards.

The 2016 winners, selected for their achievements in business, philanthropic and government organizations in Larimer or Weld counties, will be honored at an April 13 breakfast event in Loveland.

Receiving the “Leading Lady” award for lifetime achievement will be Denny Moyer, chief executive of Ensight Skills Center Inc. Also receiving awards this year will be Kristi Benningsdorf, president of First Western Trust Bank; Linda Winter, owner of Accessories with a Flair! … and Hair; Cara Neth, director of presidential and administrative communications at Colorado State University; Shirley Brunelli of Loveland Elks Lodge 1051; Tracy Young of Crossroads Safehouse; Greeley City Councilwoman Sandi Elder; Mitzi Moran, CEO of Sunrise Community Health; Carol Ann Hixon, a retired Poudre School District humanities teacher; Jodi Hartmann, executive director of Greeley Transitional House; Kathi Wright, executive director of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Larimer County; and Trish Sandau, president of Northern Colorado Traffic Control.
