Fired Cargill workers allege religious discrimination at Fort Morgan plant

Cargill is facing several EEOC complaints after dozens of workers accused the company of religious discrimination at a meatpacking plant in Fort Morgan.

The Denver Post reports that a Denver law firm filed the complaints on behalf of about 130 workers in the wake of a Dec. 23 incident that saw 150 workers fired for violation of the company’s attendance policy. Those workers, according to the Post, “had been protesting what they saw as changes to Cargill’s accommodation of workplace prayer.”
