Women of Distinction nominations, event registration open

LOVELAND — Nominations are open for BizWest’s 2016 Women of Distinction, and tickets are on sale for the April event that will honor them.

The BizWest Women of Distinction ceremony will honor 10 Northern Colorado women and an Outstanding Mentor who have made considerable contributions in leadership, time and philanthropy to the communities of Larimer or Weld counties. Categories include: Banking and Finance; Health Care; Government, Energy, and Utilities; Nonprofit Creative Industry; Nonprofit Human Services; Real Estate, Construction, and Development; Education; Business and Business Services; and Outstanding Volunteer. A Leading Lady also will be chosen for groundbreaking achievements, and an award will be given to a woman or man who has been an outstanding mentor to a woman.

Nominations can be made online and must be received by Wednesday, Feb. 24. The page includes guidelines for who can be a nominee.

Business Cares: April 2024

In Colorado, 1 in 3 women, 1 in 3 men and 1 in 2 transgender individuals will experience an attempted or completed sexual assault in their lifetime. During April, we recognize Sexual Assault Awareness Month with the hopes of increasing conversations about this very important issue.

The event will be held from 7 to 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, April 13, at Embassy Suites Loveland, 4705 Clydesdale Parkway. Tickets are $39 until April 5, $49 on and after April 6, and $59 at the door. Register is online.
