Former Bohemian Cos. official launching new development firm
FORT COLLINS — Real estate veteran Stu MacMillan announced Friday that he is launching a company that will offer services to real estate developers on projects in Northern Colorado.
MacMillan Development will provide services that include site assessment, project feasibility, development strategies and construction management.
MacMillan most recently was director of real estate for Bohemian Cos. in Fort Collins, where he worked with Denver-based Sage Hospitality and Loveland-based McWhinney Real Estate Services Inc. to get the 118,000-square-foot five-story Fort Collins Hotel on the drawing board that is planned to be built in downtown Fort Collins.

MacMillan said he will continue to work on that project through his new company. “I am excited to begin this new venture in my career,” MacMillan said in a prepared statement. “I look forward to being able to apply my passion and skills to multiple projects that will benefit my clients and the community.”
MacMillan has played an active leadership role during the past 20 years in Northern Colorado’s real estate industry. His career includes being managing partner and co-founder of Everitt Commercial Partners Inc. and president and CEO of Everitt-MacMillan Commercial, plus his time at Bohemian Cos since 2011.
Some of MacMillan’s clients and projects include the Harmony One five-story office building in Fort Collins, The Bank of Colorado building in the 2534 Business Park, Group Publishing, the Skyline Center for Health in Loveland, the Youth Clinic, LSI Logic, Hewlett-Packard, Woodward, the current Bohemian office building, OtterBox, UCHealth and Oakridge Business Park.
MacMillan served as a board chairman for the Northern Colorado Economic Development Corp., and the Fort Collins Area Chamber of Commerce. He also served on the board of directors for the Colorado State University Research Foundation, the vice president of the board for Northern Colorado Commercial Association of Realtors and is a member of the U.S. Green Building Council.
