Lockheed Martin unveils lab where it will test Mars capsule

Lockheed Martin Space Systems in Littleton this week unveiled the lab where the company will test the Orion crew module that will carry NASA astronauts to Mars.

The Denver Post reports that Lockheed has about 700 employees in Littleton working on the capsule, which is slightly smaller than the actual module that will carry four astronauts to the Red Planet, a trip expected to take three weeks.
