Rocky Mountain National Park to raise entrance, other fees

DENVER — Rocky Mountain national Park will raise its entrance fees and other costs in October.

The Denver Post reports that the weekly pass for a car entering the park will climb from $20 to $30. The new single-day pass for cars will cost $20. The annual park pass will be $50, up from $40, with an increase to $60 planned in 2017. Campground fees will also increase to $26 a night in 2016.

The Park Service proposed an entrance-fee hike in September. The last systemwide wee increase was in 2009.
