First National Denver promotes Van Haselen to president

DENVER — Joe Van Haselen, a 25-year veteran in the banking industry, has been promoted to president of First National Denver, the bank announced Tuesday.

Haselen was hired in January 2013 as managing director, responsible for building the commercial banking team and portfolio. He will continue to develop the commercial lending and C&I teams and help meet the financial needs of businesses in the communities the bank serves.

First National Denver has branches in Longmont, Loveland, Boulder, Denver, Greenwood Village, Westminster, Golden, Parker and Limon.

First National Denver previously was Longmont-based Mile High Banks, which was renamed after being bought and recapitalized at the end of 2012 by Strategic Growth Bancorp Inc., an El Paso, Texas-based bank-holding company.
