Pilgrim’s Pride holding shareholders meeting May 2

GREELEY – Pilgrim’s Pride Corporation (Nasdaq: PPC) will host its annual meeting of shareholders 8 a.m. May 2.

The meeting, which will include a review of fiscal 2013 and other business, will take place at the Pilgrim’s Pride Corporation headquarters at 1770 Promontory Circle in Greeley.

Pilgrim’s Pride shares surged more than 4 percent to $17.95 in Tuesday afternoon trading. Company shares have more than doubled since a low of $8.35 on March 12, 2013.
