$2 million project planned at Vance Brand

LONGMONT – Chippewa Aerospace Group plans to spend $2 million on upgrades to facilities at Vance Brand Municipal Airport in Longmont.

A 4,000- to 5,000-square-foot terminal, along with a planned 10,000- to 15,000-square-foot airplane maintenance hangar, will help woo more business travelers and aviators to the airport, said Julie Myers, president of Chippewa. The improvements are expected to be completed by June 2015.
The Conway, South Carolina-based company is the parent of Fly Elite Aviation Inc., the new fixed-base operations company that sells fuel at Vance Brand.
