State new-vehicle registration rises
New-vehicle registrations for Dodge, Ram, BMW, Porsche, Subaru, Lexus, Land Rover and Mitsubishi each increased more than 26 percent during the first eight months of this year.
Dodge led the way with a 53.8 percent increase, followed by Ram at 30.4 percent and BMW at 30 percent.

“High demand for new cars and trucks has once again put new-vehicle registrations in Colorado in double digits,´ said CADA president Tim Jackson in a press statement. “Automakers have increased their production capacity to meet the demand and consumers are being drawn to more options, designs and the largest variety of fuel-efficient vehicles we’ve ever seen. Plus, dealer incentives, low interest rates and a wide range of leasing options are attractive factors for consumers.”
The compact SUV, full-size pickup and compact luxury SUV sectors continued to lead in market-share gains, Jackson said.
Meanwhile, the used-vehicle market in Colorado was up 9.7 percent in August and improved 3.8 percent for the year to date.
