As Mental Health Awareness Month unfolds in Colorado, it serves as a reminder of the collective responsibility to prioritize mental well-being.

“Our partnership with Target marks an exciting time for Evol Foods as we expand and grow,” Phil Anson, company founder and chief operating officer said in the press statement.

Evol Foods received an undisclosed amount of capital from New York-based Alliance Consumer Growth in January 2012 to add new products to its lineup and expand nationwide distribution. The private equity firm took a minority stake in Evol, the company said at the time.

Privately held Evol generated revenue of about $10 million in 2011, the most recent time period for which figures are available. Its products are sold in about 6,000 grocery stores across the United States.

Evol Foods products are made from natural and organic ingredients and have no artificial flavors, colors, additives or preservatives, according to the press statement. The company recently rolled out a new, dairy-free, gluten-free burrito line and a pasta product line. Evol is the word “love” spelled backwards. Anson started the company in 2004.
