Platte River must prepare for the retirement of 431 megawatts (MW) of dispatchable, coal-fired generation by the end of the decade and address more frequent extreme weather events that can bring dark calms (periods when there is no sun or wind).

The building is scheduled to be complete in 2013, and will feature a driver training area and chassis wash facility. Heath will also perform both interior and exterior renovations to the building.

The MAX project will extend for about five miles along College Avenue between Harmony Road and Old Town. Shuttles will be able to move riders between the two locations in about 20 minutes, according to the city.
