KeHE hiring staff for office in Boulder

BOULDER – KeHE Distributors LLC has begun making key hires to staff its new office in Boulder that it expects to open by late April or early May.

Romeoville, Illinois-based KeHE appointed Scott Silverman as executive director of its natural and organic division. He will work out of the office in Boulder. KeHE has yet to secure a location in Boulder, according to a company spokeswoman.

KeHE distributes natural and organic, specialty and gourmet, multicultural and fresh food products to more than 35,000 retail outlets throughout North America. The office in Boulder will focus on sales and marketing for KeHE’s Tree of Life natural and organic products division.

Silverman previously worked for Tesco plc’s Fresh & Easy Neighborhood Market, where he was the executive responsible for innovation and execution of marketing and merchandising strategies.

Previously, Silverman worked for Jacksonville, Florida-based Winn-Dixie grocery stores and New Hope Natural Media in Boulder. In 1996 he founded and served as president of Scotty’s Naturals LLC, an organic nondairy beverage and vegetarian foods company based in Boulder. Scotty’s was dissolved in 2002, according to records posted on the Secretary of State’s website.

Also, Beata Pabian Klenk will be joining the KeHE team in Boulder March 18 as category director for its gluten-free products. Klenk’s experience includes work at Wild Oats Markets, SPINS and Data Garden.

Anne Evanoff, KeHE’s current category director for vitamins, minerals, supplements and personal care products will move to the office in Boulder.
