BGC Partners acquires Frederick Ross Co.

DENVER – The Frederick Ross Co., a Denver-based real estate brokerage firm founded in 1888, has been acquired by global brokerage company BGC Partners Inc., according to a release from the companies.

BGC Partners (Nasdaq: BGCP) is the parent company of Newmark Grubb Knight Frank, a New York-based international real estate brokerage and advisory firm.

Frederick Ross formed a partnership with what was then Newmark Knight Frank in 2010, and since has been operating as Newmark Knight Frank Frederick Ross.

Financial details of the deal were not disclosed.

The firm and executive managing director Scott Garel have extensive listings in the Boulder and Longmont area, including the Campus at Longmont and Flatiron Park in Boulder.

John P. Box, Frederick Ross’ president and chief executive, will become NGKF’s regional chairman, according to the release.
