Dot Hill Systems closing center in Israel

LONGMONT – Dot Hill Systems Corp., a Longmont-based developer of data storage technology, announced Monday it will “realign its software investments” and will close a development center in Israel.

Dot Hill (Nasdaq: Hill) intends to launch “a very competitive set of midrange storage array products” this year, as well as differentiating its entry-level products, the company said in a press release.

The decision is driven by a shift in how software is developed for data-storage arrays, Dot Hill president and CEO Dana Kammersgard said in the release. The shift makes the development work done in Israel redundant.
