Park Place Mall in Estes Park sold

Park Place Mall, which encompasses 15,461 square feet of retail space in Estes Park, was sold to two local business owners for $600,000.

The property, located at 145 E. Elkhorn Ave., includes 12 retail spaces, six of which are occupied, according to selling broker Eric Blackhurst of Anderson Realty. Approximately 10,000 square feet of the building is vacant.

The transaction closed Wednesday.

The new owners will remodel the façade and vacant space in the building for energy efficiency, Blackhurst said.

The building was previously owned by a group of investors from Fort Collins that purchased the building in 1985, according to Blackhurst.

Erik Broman and Rhys Christensen of Realtec in Fort Collins were the listing brokers for the transaction.
