Northern Colorado hotel occupancy up in July

DENVER — Lodging occupancy in three Northern Colorado cities
was up in July compared to July 2010, according to a report by the Colorado
Hotel and Lodging Association. 

The Rocky Mountain Lodging Report from the Colorado Hotel
Association showed the overnight occupancy rate in Estes Park in the month of
July at 46.6 percent compared with 43.9 percent in July 2010. In Fort Collins,
the occupancy rate for July increased from 55.4 percent in 2010 to 61.7 percent
in 2011. In Loveland, the occupancy rate increased from 60 percent in July 2010
to 68 percent in July 2011.

The occupancy rate in Greeley in July 2011 is listed as 66.3
percent, but lodging numbers for 2010 were not reported.

Statewide, the occupancy rate increased from 74.4 percent in
July 2010 to 76 percent in July 2011. The occupancy rate also increased
month-to-month, as June’s occupancy rate in Colorado was 71.9 percent.
