Tickets available at the door for Mid-Year Economic Update

‘s Mid-Year Economic Update has closed, but some tickets will be
available at the door tomorrow for $42 each.

The luncheon is set for Thursday, July 21, from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., at the Embassy Suites-Loveland.

The topic of the presentations will be the changes in the Northern
Colorado economy since the NCBR Economic Forecast in January. Colorado
State University economist Martin Shields will open the discussion with
an overview of the first six months of 2011 and a preview of the next.

Then H. Christine Richards of the Colorado Association of Manufacturing
and Technology will be on the stage to discuss the ACE park currently
under way at the Agilent campus in Loveland. Jerry Thurber of Tandem
Select and Kevin Brinkman of Brinkman Partners will give their take on
the construction and real estate industry as well as overall employment
trends as the questions continue. Regional economist John Green and
local economic development experts will also be on hand to add their
insights on where Northern Colorado goes from here.

Speakers will answer questions posed by Neil Best, CEO of KUNC radio in
Greeley, and Kate Hawthorne, editor of NCBR, as well as those provided
by the audience and those emailed to [email protected] before the end of
Wednesday.
