Recovery clinic for athletes open

BOULDER – The new AllSports Recovery Club is a walk-in recovery clinic for athletes – the first of its kind in the region, according to owner Josh Shadle.

The 2,000-square-foot club features athletic therapies such as compression boots, an ice bath, a cold laser device and ultrasound and inversion table therapies, as well as massage therapists and a gait analysis technician. Shadle hopes to eventually serve more than 200 members at his club, located at 2000 30th St., Suite G, above the Christy Sports store.

Members pay $49 per month to use the club as often as they like, Shadle said. Shadle invested about $50,000 into the equipment. He said he sees the club as a great way for aging athletes to take care of their bodies.

As Mental Health Awareness Month unfolds in Colorado, it serves as a reminder of the collective responsibility to prioritize mental well-being.

“This is something Boulder has needed and should have had a long time ago,” Shadle said. “It’s all of the things you really need, but you pay the same price for an entire month as you would for one session.”

A club grand opening on Monday, July 11, will feature Ironman champion triathaletes Mirinda Carfrae and Tim O’Donnell. The club has about 60 members after being open informally for about a month and a half, Shadle said.
