Denver firm to help develop ACE Park

LOVELAND – The Aerospace Clean Energy Manufacturing and Innovation Park in Loveland will be developed by real estate firm United Properties and the Colorado Association for Manufacturing and Technology, representatives said Thursday afternoon.

Developers from United Properties’ Denver office and representatives from the association plan to sign an agreement with the city of Loveland to purchase the former Agilent Technologies Inc. campus for the park, the association said in a press statement.

The 167-acre campus includes 811,000 square feet of office space in four buildings. The planned new business park in Loveland could create thousands of jobs along the Front Range with a focus on commercialization of NASA space technologies, according to people involved in the project.

“Aerospace is a key economic driver for Colorado and one that we are working to expand,” Gov. John Hickenlooper said in the press statement. “The ACE Park in Loveland is a great example of how Colorado’s aerospace, innovation and technological expertise are converging to bring jobs and revenue to our state.”

In December, CAMT signed a five-year agreement with NASA to develop programs for the park. The current plan is to develop the park into a place that can house more than 70 companies in the areas of aerospace, clean-energy manufacturing and other technologies.

The association is a manufacturing assistance center dedicated to helping Colorado manufacturing companies be more competitive across the globe. Commercial real estate developer United Properties is based in Minneapolis.
