Boulder Soup expands its distribution

BOULDER – Boulder Soup Works, an organic soup company, has begun distribution to Whole Foods Markets in California, Washington, Oregon, Texas, Louisiana, Oklahoma and Arkansas.

The combined 72 stores in the Northern California, Pacific Northwest and Southwest regions now offer Boulder Soup Works’ organic and gluten-free soups in the prepared foods case. With the added distribution, the Boulder-based company’s soups are now sold in 100 Whole Foods Markets.

Greg Powers, director of sales and marketing for Boulder Soup Works, said the demand for fresh soup is growing nationally, and Whole Foods is at the front of the trend. Boulder Soup Works first introduced its line of soups at Whole Foods’ store on Pearl Street in Boulder in 2009. The company was founded in 2006.
