Boulder Chamber hires PA manager

BOULDER – A former city council member has been appointed the Boulder Chamber’s public affairs manager.

Angelique Espinoza is taking over the position held by Dan Powers since 2004.

Espinoza joins the chamber staff after having held positions with Intercambio de Comunidades and the Geological Society of America. She was a partner and owner of Free Range Geeks, a tech-support company based in Boulder, according to the release announcing her appointment.

Espinoza served on the Boulder City Council from 2007 to 2009.

Powers left the chamber last month for a position with Western Disposal Services Inc. in Boulder.

Christopher Wood is editor and publisher of BizWest, a regional business journal covering Boulder, Broomfield, Larimer and Weld counties. Wood co-founded the Northern Colorado Business Report in 1995 and served as publisher of the Boulder County Business Report until the two publications were merged to form BizWest in 2014. From 1990 to 1995, Wood served as reporter and managing editor of the Denver Business Journal. He is a Marine Corps veteran and a graduate of the University of Colorado Boulder.
