Colorado State University is bioscience Partner of the Year Award winner

Colorado State University’s Technology Transfer Office shared the 2010
Partner of the Year Award with the University of Colorado Technology
Transfer Office from the Colorado Bioscience Association.

CSU’s Technology Transfer Office was noted for spinning out 13 new
bioscience companies between 2002 and 2007, for an average of four new
companies each year.

Also honored by the CBSA was Deanna Scott, associate director for the
BioMARC Outreach Training Program for Product Translation at CSU,
winning the Educator of the Year Award. The program fosters regional
product translation training for students and research and
pharmaceutical professionals seeking to expand their knowledge of
product development and the regulatory pathways for bringing a product
to market.

Temple Grandin, a professor of animal science at CSU, was awarded the
CBSA Chairman’s Award for her work on humane treatment of animals in the
livestock industry and for efforts in educating the public about
autism.
