Limagrain Cereal Seeds part of wheat seed deal
FORT COLLINS – Agricultural technology company Arcadia Biosciences Inc.
purchased a 35 percent ownership position in Fort Collins-based
Limagrain Cereal Seeds as part of a deal to develop new technologies for
growing wheat.
Arcadia, based in Davis, Calif., announced May 3 that Vilmorin, one of
the world’s oldest and largest producers and marketers of field crop and
vegetable seeds, purchased a 7.25 percent equity position in the
company. Vilmorin, a French company, has 65 percent ownership of LCS.
Vilmorin’s investment in Arcadia and the cooperation of the two
companies in the management of LCS…
