Federal funds bypass Highway 392 interchange

Only one project in Colorado will receive a federal Transportation Investment Generating Economic Recovery grant, leaving repair of the Interstate 25 interchange at Colorado Highway 392 unfunded at this point.

The U.S. Department of Transportation announced Wednesday that $10 million will go to the U.S. 36 corridor project between Denver and Boulder. The project is one of 51 awarded a TIGER grant across the nation. In all, 1,400 applications were received for the $1.5 billion program; CDOT had submitted a total of seven projects for awards.
