Loveland struggles to rejuvenate downtown
LOVELAND – On a warm late summer afternoon, Brandon Burkhart stops sweeping the sidewalk in front of his downtown Loveland bar, Burk’s Tavern, and takes a long look down East Fourth Street. From Burkhart’s point of view, a downtown revitalization effort that’s been under way since 2006 hasn’t had much positive effect.
“I’ve been here about two years now and I don’t see that much change,” he said. “Everything sounds great. They just need to implement it.”
