Banner to close North Colorado Surgery Center
GREELEY – Banner Health has announced it will close the North Colorado Surgery Center in west Greeley on Friday, in part due to a decline in patient volume. The closure will result in the loss of about 25 jobs.
“With the current and projected volume levels, stakeholders believe closure of the center is the responsible business decision and one they believe residents would expect in the management of health care dollars,” according to a Banner Health statement.
The statement also said a “large majority” of the board of directors voted for the closure on Aug. 3 “after assessment of case volumes/business and after exhaustive review of possible alternatives.”
