AeroGrow International shuffles board

BOULDER – AeroGrow International Inc. in Boulder elected Michael Barish and H. MacGregor (Greg) Clarke to its board of directors and reduced the board to five people, the company announced Friday.

Both Barish and Clarke stepped into their new roles Wednesday, July 8, after three people retired from the board. The company only filled two of the slots bringing the size of the board to five people.

Barish, who will serve on the board’s Audit and Governance committees, co-founded Lazarus Investment Partners LLLP, a private investment firm focusing on microcap stocks. He founded Cambiar Investors prior to that.

Clarke has served in various upper-management positions, including chief financial officer of AeroGrow for the last year, chief executive officer and CFO of Ankmar LLC, CFO and vice-president and general manager of Johns Manville Corp.

“Over the past year Greg has made significant contributions to AeroGrow’s ability to recapitalize and survive the economic downturn,” Jack Walker, AeroGrow’s chairman of the board, said in a statement.

“Mike Barish has been instrumental in helping the company source critically needed capital at key inflection points throughout its development, and his long history analyzing and investing in microcap companies, including AeroGrow, will prove valuable in many ways.”

AeroGrow (OTC:BB: AERO.OB), develops and produces indoor-gardening products including dirt-free gardens.
