Bennet to push Colorado Collaboratory
GOLDEN – Colorado U.S. Senator Michael Bennet will meet with principals of the Colorado Renewable Energy Collaboratory on Saturday, June 27 to push their integrated and innovative approach as a model for clean energy research, workforce development and product deployment.
The collaboratory includes the University of Colorado at Boulder, Colorado State University, Colorado School of Mines and the National Renewable Energy Laboratory. The groups are working together to integrate cutting-edge research with the industry know-how to accelerate the transfer of clean energy technologies to the market.
Bennet will participate in a roundtable discussion at the Colorado School of Mines, General Research Lab Building at 10:15 a.m., and then tour the Colorado Fuel Cell Center and meet with students and researchers engaged in fuel cell research.
Joining Bennet will be Phil DiStefano, chancellor of University of Colorado at Boulder; Tony Frank, president of Colorado State University; Dan Arvizu, director of NREL; John Poate, vice president for research and technology transfer at Colorado School of Mines; and David Hiller, executive director of the Colorado Renewable Energy Collaboratory.
