Caution: Recession ahead for Colorado

Recession is in the cards for Colorado during 2009 with the state slated to lose about 4,000 jobs, according to economist Richard Wobbekind of the University of Colorado’s Leeds School of Business.

Colorado has only experienced a year of job losses three times this decade and only seven times since 1939, when such data began to be recorded. The Leeds School of Business and BBVA Compass Bank hosted the 44th annual Business Economic Outlook Forum in Denver on Dec. 8.
