The Forks in Livermore closes doors once again
LIVERMORE – A replica of a historic structure that once stood at the confluence of two bustling stagecoach routes in this north Larimer County hamlet has closed again.
The Forks, a gas station, convenience store and sometimes restaurant that was built in 1990 to match the historic Forks hotel and café that burned down in 1985, closed Aug. 4 due to financial and operational difficulties, according to its owner, Mike Johnson of Grant’s Pass, Oregon.
