Bridge builder expands with new office

LAFAYETTE – Longmont-based Flatiron Construction Corp. is expanding its presence in the Boulder Valley with an additional office in Lafayette.

The builder of bridges and transportation projects signed a lease for 12,359 square feet at 1380 Forest Park Circle. Its headquarters will remain in Longmont.

“We ran out of room in Longmont and we’re slowly adding more employees,´ said a spokeswoman for the company. “We’re growing our inter-mountain division, information technology department and human resource department.”

Flatiron Construction is an independent subsidiary of Germany-based Hochtief AG, which purchased the company in October 2007 for $240 million.
