Waterstone lands Air Force contract

BOULDER – Waterstone Environmental Hydrology and Engineering Inc. has been awarded a $2.4 million contract to provide an environmental and planning software tool to be used at 13 U.S. Air Force bases.

Boulder-based Waterstone’s software enables Air Force users to couple their existing geospatial information with site-specific environmental data, allowing them to walk through a 3-D model of each base and call up multiple layers of meaningful data. The tasks include risk assessment, evaluation of conceptual hydrogeologic models and optimization of long-term groundwater monitoring programs.

The software support tool will be used at bases in Alabama, Arkansas, Arizona, Missouri, Oklahoma and Texas.
