Albeo product earns $5,000 prize

BOULDER – Albeo Technologies Inc. in Boulder received $5,000 from the U.S. Department of Energy at a national energy renewable forum in Denver for developing clean energy products.

Albeo produces commercial and residential lighting using a technology that may replace the incandescent bulb – light emitting diodes, or LEDs. Currently LEDs are used in clocks and laptops, traffic signals and the brake lights of cars and trucks. Newer LEDs produce high-quality white light for commercial and residential use.
